Hi All,
it's been nearly one year that I had written my last blog post. Since then I have been living in Hyderabad, the city of the Nawabs, the Nizams...
The scenic beauty of Charminer might have lured me in my childhood but it's lost it's attraction over the period of time I am living here. I still remember our outings to Mongpoo, to movies...specially the Durga Puja once....but now all those are gone, we are living here all on our own, away from our near and dear ones and eagely waiting to get those days back once again.....
But let's not make it a sobbing kind of affair....apart from all these things Hyderabad has given me a real view of life, people and culture....May be this is what Nagesh Kukunoor's "Hyderabad Blues"

Is this the end of my studenthood!!!
IS THIS THE END OF MY STUDENTHOOD???? this damn thought has been haunting me like a hell for more than a month now....and last sunday it was probably the time for the curtaions to fall....our last semester results were published. To me , the last four years of engineering has been full of lessons, lessons from every facets of life. The day I joined college I was not really happy with it. Being there in a college like I was in, I could hardly expect anything more than a decent job at the end of the course. I thought there was very little to draw out of this place, so it did reflect in my first semester's result. It was a massive set back for me, and the only thing came into my mind was whether I would be able to get a job with this score!! actually i was trying to run away from this STUDENTHOOD. Since then I decided not to give-up but to give-in and it worked out in the right way.
Now on this very new day when I am going to start a new career, I really want to go back to those classes, those classes of Physics, those breaks infront of our old canteen lawn, those summer days of preparation for exams, those Swabhumi evenings....and all those happy moments I spent there.
The last two years had been the best days of my life....because those two years had turned my desperation for knowledge into aspiration for it.Today I can say that I am taking the elixir of studenthood with me, and i would like to spend my entire life as a student!!!

Convergence 2007
After wimax is it time for something else which is going to revolutionize our surfing experiance ? well here is something interesting.
This is an unique technology invented by Motorola and is on display at Convergence 2007 at pragati maidan, New Delhi. Thanks to NDTV's Gadget guru for giving us the opportuinity to see it first on television.
This can be a soloution to have internet connection in all your rooms without the need of any wireless router. All you need to have a electric outlet(plug point) in your room. The connection will be provided by the poewr companies and will reach your home through the electric wires. Motorola has come up with a special modem with three pins attached to it, more looks like a power adapter than a modem. But it is actually connected to a LAN wire through a RJ45 which can be connected to your pc or notebook and will give you broadband quality connection.

Do you want more RAM??
A recent post in slashdot.org has shown the pain of having more RAM in your PC. A guy has posted about the drawbacks of NVIDIA graphics card, while he bougt a Mac Pro with 3 GB of RAM in it. But while using it he was facing some problem and got to knpw that it was due to the graphics card which can not handle more than 2 GB of RAM. NVidia has a bug in their drivers that kernel panics a Mac Pro if any memory past the 2GB boundary is addressed in the driver. What does apple think about it???

Rendezvous
Last evening was probably the best evening i have ever had in my life so far. We had to meet at city Center, salt lake to celebrate Soup's birthday. Oh let me introduce the charecters first....
Tatha- a real geek, master in Linux, the greatest connoisseur of food(his tummy will tell you more about this..). I had to catch him up at jadavpur.
sandy- a falmboyant(??) , a potential entrepreneur(in food business!!) and ofcourse the most colourful person in our class..
soup- Full name- sauparna...the most sensible person in our group...and the best part was he paid the bill.
and last but not the least RONNIE...who couldn't turn up as usual...but made us feel his cold presence like a vampire.
As the dusk was falling the waterfront was looking very romantic(don't forget the contributions of the couples sitting over there.) we sat on the stairs, staring at the people passing by.The food at KFC followed by a feedback form was not worth for money and the quantity didn't make us happy either, but the aroma of the coffee made tatha mad...a hot sip of the coffee and the waterfront made me nostalgic..suddenly it was taking us down the memory lane, our early days at college, our first meetings and all.
The cold winter waves were telling us that it was probably the last winter evening we were spending together, three rapid questions from Soup and some valuable feedbacks were like the the canto we were writting together....Those stairs, the waterfront, the KFC...everything will be there, except those moments we spent together.....
The CAT score card made me a bit depressed, but my friends remind me the words of the Alchemist-
"When you want something all the universe conspires in helping you to achive it. So, never stop dreaming"
